The New Bears

Well, it finally happened, Coach Lovie pulled Grossman, putting Griese in. Not sure what to think about that. I have been right there with Coach, sticking with Rex, but after the first half of the Dallas game, I knew he wasn't going to make it. He throws pretty good to the outsides (he can see to the sides, can't see over the middle, too short), but once he started throwing to the middle, it was done. Too many misses and interceptions. Tires out our defense. Hopefully the offense will get a spark out of this against Detroit and kick some butt!! Go BEARS!!!

My Grandfather

For anyone who grew up with me in the Valley, my Grandfather passed away today. He had cancer for quite a while, so it wasn't unexpected. I don't know anything about services or anything, so when I know more, I'll try to post.

Sorry

Well, I guess I haven't posted in a while, been a weird year. Getting my strength back, though and been working outside of my house a lot:

Working on replacing my sidewalk in back of my house. Taking a little longer than we had hoped. Was working on it right along, had 2 pallets of pavers down, and then found out the last 2 pallets were different. So, working with Lowes on getting 2 replacement pallets.

Of course, lots of time dealing with James too:

As you can tell, bit too high energy

:)

But a great kid, quite a chatter box lately.

An, of course, it Football Season again, and that means time to cheer for the Bears again!!!
And, really, I'm a big Bears fan, and a real team player, but come on, can't we get a more steady quarterback. I can't just stand it. I know we have won pre-season games (they don't count, by the way), but Rex's performance has been mediocre at best. We really need some steady play from him.
Well, that's all for know. I'll see happens by tonight.
Have a Nice Day!!!

Sunday

Well, somehow James, my son, knows when I am getting up with him and when his Mom is getting up him. For her, on weekends, James will sleep in to 8 or 8:30. For me, he is usually by 7:15. Oh, well, no sleeping in for daddy.

I know one reason I'll be glad for Superbowl XLI to be over - the end of listening about how bad rex Grossman is. These sports annoucers just can't seem to accept the fact that the Bears are 15-3 with him and are in the Superbowl. Yes, he isn't the best quarterback. And, yes, Peyton Manning has way better stats than Rex. But, well, throwing the ball isn't what Bears football is about. We run the ball. Pound it up the middle all day long. And against a run defense like what the Colts have, well, I think it'll be a good day foe Jones and Benson. And Bears football is also about Defense. With someone as big and fast as Urlacher, well,Peyton had better have his happy feet going. The problem with Peyton's happy feet is he has a tendency to make bad move when he gets them. So , I figure Peyton to be throwing lots of bad passes. I think the Bears will win 31-21. Thats my guess.
Well, time to go wake Trina up and get to working on the bathroom. Almost got it working. Just have to hang the shower curtain and it should be usable. Have some small things to do, like trim and stuff, but the tub will be usable. Everyone have a nice day!!

SuperBowl Sunday!!!

Well, almost. One week to go, and it'll be a great game. My wife is cheering for the Colts, so it'll be tense around the house here. Thought about having a SB party, or going to one, but I'm not sure I'm strong enough for one yet. I am getting stronger, but it's going to take a while.

As for the game, I think Rex will be OK. Nothing great, maybe 200 yds passing, 1 TD, 1 int. What will win us the game is the running game. Between Jones and Benson, we'll destroy the Colts D!

As for Peyton, well, I do like him, but, well, it's the Bears! Monsters of the Midaway!! Look out Peyton, we're coming for ya!!!
